Environmental Responsibility

Realizing that part of our mission is environmental responsibility, the SRBA has taken steps to ensure the long-term viability of native plants and animals that live in the basin.

Prior to undertaking any project to provide for the needs of our customers, we conduct environmental impact studies, habitat evaluations and other environmental studies to determine the impact of a project on the environment. These studies provide us with the information we need to protect the environment, since Northeast Texas would lose the benefits of a healthy environment, including a reliable, quality water supply.
